Great Game, Great Atmosphere.

    Fantastic result, fully deserved. The guys did us proud today, they all put in a great shift. It was a geat game and a great atmosphere.

    I know Capello can't find his way up here but if he was at the game to cast an eye on the two superstars ( Lampard & Terry ) he maybe had his eyes opened by some of our guys. We outplayed them all over the field and Lampard and Terry were made to look very ordinary. I personally thought that Ivanovic was rather lucky to stay on the pitch early on in the game and a stricter ref would have had him off. Maybe if they'd been playing Man Utd at Old trafford he'd have been gone.

    The atmosphere was provided by us, as the plastic Chelsea fans didn't know what was going on and only seem to go to the games because it's the thing to do. They hardly made a sound and we drowned them out throughout the match. I think even their stewards found it funny that so few (1,500) away fans outsang and outshouted them.

    I just hope we show the same kind of character and commitment next week against West Brom and close the curtain with a great win.

    By the way, the guy in the centre of the attached pic is no other than our own Badger. He was giving it out throughout the game. The only poor part of the day for me was we just inched forward on the coach from the time we hit London and I didn't make it to the pub for drinks with the guys that had either stayed ovenight or gone down by train.

    hopefully the performance and result today may tempt fat mike to dig a little deeper into his pocket, seemed to be enjoying it anyway ! 3 points against the baggies and we could realistically finish 9th (what I'm hoping for)

    I was watching the game out in brazil, atmosphere was completely generated by our fans. And that's saying something that our fans could be heard over the dick head poruguese commentators who never shut up. Chelsea, only heard them briefly when they scored.

    One of the plusses of the game was how we made the Chelsea darlings ( Lamps and Terry ) look very ordinary. They never at any point had control of the game.

    Tried looking through my cache for you guys, but the image isn't there. I guess Leazes deleted it!
    Judging from the photo he's got brown hair, but was just winding him up <cheers>
    Database went down, the old off/on again trick worked though when Mick finally got to a computer.
