The one thing about the Reid years that upsets me most (there wasn't much, just the fact he never walked a year earlier, they were great times and I still love the bloke...).

He did have a bit of a sense of self importance that lead to decisions like this, and not playing Magic etc, but there was no justification whatsoever in dropping Darius.

I reckon he regretted it after, but once done was done. Such a shame.

Darius was never flash, he was just utterly solid, committed and consistent, he'd walk into the side now I dare say!

Easily the finest era supporting the lads for me (bar the 0-2 playoff) i too love peter if only for skp & snq, have a feeling this new set up might just well emulate those days

I'd love to think so mate.

If we can have anything like that first season up under Reid I'll be a very happy man indeed.

It was literally count down the hours to every match, as even when we were **** we were always gonna be entertained.

People rarely mention the win over Watford after the 0-4 at Chelsea, but that game was the start of it, it settled the lads and it was just a great 2 years, I can never quite remember how close we were to Europe, my brain tells me that if we'd won at Villa (drew 1-1 I recall?) we would have been in.

I may be wrong on this like.

It was a disgrace the way Reidy treated him, if it were for a decent player then it wouldn't be so bad but, Gareth Hall it had to be a wind up.
Decent bloke apparently and still gets to SOL so I've heard.

Hall was tragically bad mate, couldn't run, couldn't trap a ball, blowing out his arse after 8 minutes, it was scandalous.

Darius is a gaffer now in the Polska, managed some of the big clubs too, Legia Warsaw being the 'Polish Man United'.

The queer thing about the Reid era is the contrasting emotions if created.

Without a shadow of a doubt the best football I've ever seen at SAFC but he was an arrogant ****er with it.

Always thought the same. Never liked him as a person. when he opens his mouth I just want to tear my ears off. can't stand the accent as the same with the most un funny comedian on the planet. John (gob full of marbles) Bishop.
