I was told, point blank, that he’ll come to Sunderland. I didn’t believe it then and don’t believe it now … … he could go abroad and still earn big money, or Birmingham
Likes plenty of social clubs. Seems to make a habit of it. Would have to take a 50% paycut as a minimum, it won't be happening.
I wouldnt want him here. Full of ego with zero pace, zero creativity, zero goal threat with a huge weekly wage.
I wouldn't care if he went there tbh, he doesn't suit their style. He's very good technically but he has no end product and his workrate is often poor I think a mid table team would suit him now or going abroad
Don't think anyone is saying mundle is better Grealish would be on huge wages and he does lack those things that Tees have said He's only scored 12 goals in 4 seasons for the by far the best most dominate team in the league He doesn't even miss that many chances in a game tbf We don't need players because of their name or what they've done, we need players that fit into a system and make us a better team
Abit of a silly comment that really. Mundles still young, very raw and will keep getting better and better, where as Grealish is now and a downwards spiral in his career and will demand huge wages for very little in return based from his stats and goal ratio. As Scout mentioned he has played for one of the most dominant teams in europe now for a while, and his goal and assist levels are abysmal for a team that spends about 3 quarters of a game in their opponents half.
Agree to be honest. Not for me. Same as Hendo. Legs and work rate just not there. That said the latter will likely sign after his 2 weeks away in the sun.
Not really, I know who I’d prefer lining up on the left wing in the PL. Not that it matters anyway, he wouldn’t come here nor would we be interested.
I'm not saying he wouldn't, i just dont think he's what we need thats all I do think he's slightly overrated because of that lack of end product but his close control is as good as you'll see in the PL. That's why I think a mid table team would ne a good move for him, even better would be going abroad He is def not coning here no matter what, and that's probably good for both us and him
Not often I disagred with you mate, but I am going to here. I look at the Grealish at Villa. Those first two seasons in the prem were outstanding. And the end product was there. Pep has a habit, in my opinion, of showing the love to players then going off them quickly. I think that has happened here. Maybe there are good reasons for that, and I love Pep. For me though being a wide attacking player in a Pep system can be more about the assist for the assist, if that makes sense. Lots of ball rotation before the final ball etc. Anyway, if by some miracle he lands here I would be over the moon. He would transform us in the final 3rd imo. Whether it be holding the ball while others join, beating a man to open space, winning free kicks in dangerous areas or finding that innovative pass. It is a while since we had a maverick to cheer and love, he would certainly be that.
