Just as NI and Murdoch in particular was, according to Louise Mench on a parliamentary commission before she jacked it all in and went to work for, er, Murdoch. As, if and when the IPCC and inquests finish their work on Hillsborough, and if by some miracle any officer is charged (or journalist for perjury to the original Taylor inquiry) you know what the defence will be, don't you? Wonder how many compliant newspapers in this cosy relationship will give them sympathetic backing too...

You should see someone about your premature sympathisation... I'd have thought that (hopefully) the Hillsborough investigation wouldn't (or couldn't) use incompetence as a defence, as the police were investigating their own conduct and thus had access to all the necessary information. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Just Googled this Louise Mench, seen what she called her kids, freaking nut bar, but then again she is a tory.
