I see Mr Lansdown acquired a further £350M last year. That means that his personal tax for the year will contribute someting like £2.50 plus into the country's depleted coffers for every man woman and child in the country. Good on you Steve. We are all proud of you. I think?? That's what we need in our city of Bristol. Good honest well intentioned Bristol residents. Oh. Hang on Steve. You can't be a Bristol boy cos you don't live inside the fourteenth Century Bristol City Boundary. So the old major employers of the Bristol populace ain't Bristol Companies at all. BAC; Bristol Aerospace; Rolls Royce........... Never mind about the greater Metropolis of Bristol that don't count according to the Twizzletwits across town Then they have to have something to grasp I suppose. They don't own their own ground; been relegated again; in debt up to their ears....... Bristol Rovers will own their stadium on their own land and be debt free. You have to laugh.
They've been indulging in a grasping at straws exercise, accompanied by self-delusion for quite a while now. You can always tell that it's desparation time in BS3 when they come out with the 'one team in Bristol', 'your board's really quiet' and other such tenuous babble. These diversionary tactics are evidence of low self-esteem and narcissistic tendencies. Our red friends could keep an entire convention of psychologists occupied for weeks. Must hurt though - having your benefactor pump tens of millions into the club only to be relegated, then being told that actually there's no point in having a billionaire benefactor any longer due to the new FFP rules. It must be terrible. No, I'm sorry, I just can't keep it in
Another thread about us hey, at least your boards getting active with all the threads about your superior rivals And talking about clutching at straws, it's something you've been doing for decades.. and still are!
Yet another thread that will get your leaders in a piss, you started this one digging for responses and when you get them, you will go and PM your leaders saying those naughty reds are ruining our threads. What ever would the guest thinking standing in line to join your site Told you the other day, your getting bitter and twisted regarding someone who made his fortune and decided to move to Guernsey, so what he won't be the first or the last get over it. I would bet if you or I had the same wealth we would do excatly that. I hate paying my taxes so lazy workshy people can stay on their arses and live on the dole. And I pay enough of the bastard stuff to complain about it.
Read what has been said on the red board ROD. You and many others pay for tax avoidance big time. So its a good thing that Steve and Peter will pay their dues like every other honest citizen. Its got nowt to do with football.
I always fing reading Otib really amusing, but tinged with sadness. Whereas this site and our own forums are all relatively good natured and generally a good laugh, Otib is always confrontational, aggressive, defensive, paranoid, and constantly attacking someone or something. It's as though all its users are in need of their methadone fix to calm them down. Nearly every thread is just some Walter Mitty bullshit about what they've done or what they're going to do. Nobody on there is capable of a reasoned or constructive discussion. Absolute tossers the lot of them.
It's the same on your official site, it's probably due to the numbers you are always going to get someone upsetting someone and then it's like a mass brawl.
All forums are gay apart from the Bristol teams' forums here on Not606. These are very, very, very gay
Where is he? He's not been about for a while so I checked his profile and the last time he posted on any forum was 11 April. Not like him to go weeks without posting. He did say that he was going to take up permanent residence on the Ted board if they went down, so slightly worrying that he's vanished.
It's ok, he is popping pills on a regular basis so he is probably buzzing off his tits right now lead in some dark ally, pants around his ankles with a dildo sticking out of his arse
It's amazing how many successful businessmen completely lose the plot when they get involved in sport. I think that Rovers will be well ahead of City in every sense over the next five to ten years. Ten years or so ago Swansea were struggling in the bottom tier. Their new ground transformed their fortunes. I wouldn't be surprised if Rovers are knocking on the door of the Premiership in ten years or so. I don't think City will get to that sort of level for a long time yet.
I was looking at Mr L's interview post relegation. It does seem as though he was taking an overactive role in the team business. IMO he would be better off to leave football matters to the professionals and stick to the creative accounting which seems to be his forte. You would be pressed to find a coach who appreciates interference from the suits.
