Grant Leadbitter to sign?

    It has been rumoured from the Ipswich end that Pompey will sign their captain Grant Leadbitter once they get Keith Andrews on loan. I think this would be a good move. Looking at the comments, they are sad to see him go. He is the right age and I remember seeing him at Sunderland and he was quite useful. Last year of his conntract so believed to be 1mill but thats a guess. Thoughts people? Norris looks the part, so why not get another Ipswich skipper.

    Hi Pompey fans, It almost sounds as thought its a done deal at this end, He is the last of the high wage earners from keano's reign to leave. TBH you can't play him & judas norris at the same time, they are the championship equivalent of lampard/gerrard combination. Hopefully for you guysthough, you will get the full benefit of leadbitter's dead ball skills!

    Thanks for David Norris - he has been brilliant so far, and I'm sure it will be the same for Leadbitter as well !!

    At this rate you won't have any players left, what with all your departures (Connor Wickham, Marton Fulop, etc., etc). It's like rats deserting a sinking ship !! :emoticon-0110-tongu

    I live in Ipswich so see them quite a bit.

    Norris is the most talentless, headless chicken midfielder I have ever seen. Dont be fooled by his goal tallys. Although if you want desire and battle he does give 110%.

    Leadbitter, well, if you like sideways and backwards passes then he is just for you! £1m and I think Ipswich will be laughing all the way to the bank, given they signed Bowyer for nothing. He does hit the odd decent crossfield long range pass, but again certainly not a £1m player IMO.
