At last, a reasonable assessment from someone who knows when to speak and when to keep his Efan mouth shut! http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/engla...n-fire-norwich-to-premier-league-safety-efan?
His goal to open the scoring against Vitesse Arnham in the EUFA cup remains one of my all time faves. How nice to read a logical, rather than hysterical appraisal of our chances
I remember Everton fans getting his name wrong when he scored 4 of the 5 goals we got at Goodison, they were calling him ;that effing Ekoku .
I see Holt more or less the same standard as Kevin Davies, he has the qualities to cause just as much trouble. No matter who we start up front next season, they're going to be in for a tough time. Any combination of our strikers will be running the defenders into places they don't want to be whilst physically being hard to handle too. Once one of the two have run themselves into the gfround, another equally hard to handle striker comes on. I like the balance Lambert has brought in, full of running and hard work and with Jackson and Vaughan we also have pace. I feel we could see Holt and Morison start against Wigan, and I think their defence will have problems with those two. Ekoku, what a legend by the way. He was up front for the first live match I ever attended!! I was 10 or 11.
" Ekoku, what a legend by the way. He was up front for the first live match I ever attended!! I was 10 or 11. " Circa £800k from Bournemouth, if I remember correctly. Who said trawling the lower leagues can't sometimes pay dividends My one and only visit to White Hart lane one boxing day in '93/4, we won 3 - 1 with 2 for Sutton and 1 for Efan I only went to Highbury once and we won that (to finish 5th under Stringer) and my sole trip to Anfield we won as well, last ever day of the standing Kop. Maybe I should be given an away season ticket - I'm obviously a lucky charm
I banned myself from away games for a while. My first was that game at Blackburn, and my second was Forest when Gunny broke and dislocated his ankle! So, I reckon if I keep away, and Cromer goes, we'll be in for a great season!!!!
What a team! What brilliant counter attacking away from home - oh those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end!
I got déja-vu there ! Going away from home and thrashing a team in blue and white 1 - 5 !! Now where the hell do I remember that from
What a cracking side we had there, some of the best counter attacking stuff ive seen! Will we see another side like it, I think so!!!
I've stuck a few more of them up on our video wall...if you fancy transporting yourself back again... Ruel Fox, Gerry Goss, Chris Sutton...legends!!
