This was mooted and dismissed on MOTD? What do Norwich fans think?

Saw him at The Liberty and totally disliked the way he played, in terms of being a pain in the a***, bully-boy, etc etc. But he scored a couple of goals and did a job.

Can he make the step up to International football?

Of course he can step up, and he would play well with Rooney.

It was noticable today that when Holt and Wilbraham were on the pitch Tottenham were unable to play the ball out of the back due to the workrate of the two forwards.

But the fact is England don't have any intention of winning anything and so it will be the same old tired faces and the same old result.

He ran the Spurs defence ragged today, infront of Harry. He should go but I doubt he will. I don't even care anymore, he's a super star for us and that's all that matters.

He should go to the Euros but we all know it's unlikely. Same old underachievers will no doubt get the nod. Plus Crouch (I don't consider him an under-achiever, especially for England).

Far too good for a team of ponces and poseurs who will lose anyway.

Not too sure this would happen (Too hard to break through the England Old Boys ethos). Just wanted to say well done for yesterday. Great result, keep it up!

How about Paul Lambert for England manager then? Then England might play to their strengths instead of trying to mimic others who are better at it.
Manure tried to play tippy tappy against a packed 10 man QPR defence and couldn't break them down. Its not their style, the play at pace not tiny little passes.
We looked far better against Spurs as we played at a tempo that they couldn't handle and they like a fast tempo. England should do this and then we might start winning things.

i've been a big backer of the 'holt for england' campaign. many have said this is because i am biased but in all honesty, i know a top centre forward when i see one. holt's performance at white hart lane yesterday was as good a centre forward performance as i have ever seen. ledley king is in my opinion, the most talented defender england have produced in the past twenty years - sadly, injuries have meant he has never truly fulfilled his potential - however, holt tore into him on monday and frankly, spurs couldn't cope with holt at all. he made mugs of all of them and its hardly a one-off - he does it nearly every week. this bollocks that its harder at international level is also starting to grate. i don't believe it is harder anymore! you only need to see how few players in their international teams play regular football to tell you that. holt has scored and created goals against all the top teams in the premier league this season - that is the only guage you can go by nowadays. he is proven at this level and is being overlooked for players like fraizer campbell who isn't proven. its a joke but not a funny one. england have got some pretty good players waiting in the wings for selection yet because they aren't deemed fashionable they don't get a look in. its this idiotic clique which is one of the main reasons why england can't achieve anything of note. for the love of god, put him in an england shirt and see how he gets on in a couple of friendlies. what harm can it do? he deserves it more than most. i wouldn't trust welbeck to lead the line, nor sturridge, nor campbell... i would trust holt to lead the line. give him a go <ok>

apparently stan collymore has been lauding grant holt over the past few weeks, demanding him to be called up. i suspect stanley knows a tad more about centre forward play than adambanana...

    you talking to me?

if so, yes - it was as good a performance as i've seen from a centre forward. totally and utterly unplayable yesterday although i acknowledge he was aided heavily by his strike partner who was also excellent. holt's all-round game really is top notch now <ok>

did you go to the game?

if you did, you'd have witnessed a top defender being torn to shreds time and time again. king looked like he'd been hit by a train...
