As with the Paul Lambert situation, I don't want to and won't get involved in
the rumour mill speculation with Grant Holt, but if you read things on here
Grant, I would just like to say this to you:

If you are going then go with dignity, please do not belittle the club I love!
I, like all true Norwich City supporters, love you to bits and what you've done
for our club, and I won't have a cross word said about you, you are and
always will be a legend in the history of Norwich City, and for that I am truely
    grateful.
BUT, it is Norwich City that I support, and whatever you feel is going on that
you or your agent doesn't like, please don't drag it into the public media circus.
It can only harm you in the eyes of the adoring fans, and can only bring harm
and hurt to the club I love.
So I ask again, please think about what you are about to do, and consider
the people who have taken you to their hearts.

PLEASE DO NOT HURT MY CLUB!

    ILD OTBC

Should either GH or PL leave they can do so with their heads held high and should go with no recriminations from the fans. Yes I would be gutted if wither left but neither man owes NCFC anything - PL has guided a failing club sinking deeper and deeper into the mire into mid-table premier league safety and GH has been the spearhead and talisman - top scorer and player of the season for three years running.

I hope that both men feel they can realise their ambitions for the next few years at the club but if they feel they have to move on then they should make a dignified exit and remain loved by the failthful.

But it must also be pointed out that NCFC doesn't owe them anything other than thanks for the pleasure you gave us. If they move on to bigger and better things, then naturally they have used us as a stepping stone. Nothing wrong with that. Its the way the system works. But lets not get carried away with the hero worship. Quid Pro Quo.

Completely agree. It is a passionate business but ultimately without NCFC neither of them would be in the shop window in a position to tie up serious money elsewhere.

I just think we are hitting that glass ceiling again and there is a genuine limit as to how high we can go before our top players get picked off. I was so depressed over the weekend but have come to this sad reality (again)
Arsenal players are picked off by Man. City, Arsenal will take from Newcastle, Everton etc. and they will pick off us and we will pick off the top of the championship etc. That is the reality starring filthy lucre! What a p*sser!

This is the harsh reality of football I'm afraid. I would say that today there are only five clubs in the whole world that have no need to worry about their players being cherry picked, Man Citeh, Manure, Chelski, Barca and Real Madrid <ok>
Even Arsehole are going to struggle to hold on to RVP

This is very true. In a bizarre way, I don't think anyone took us overly seriously up until now. Other clubs, media etc. As if the last three seasons has been one big magical. mystical journey - like a daydream, almost.

Fact is, we've arrived now, for however long, and the fairy tale element has gone.
People will start (they have already <doh>) to covet Lambert, Holt, Fox - even probably McNally, depending on how he handles the next couple of weeks.

The sooner the people planning to boo Holty tomorrow night realise this, the better for NCFC <ok>

Bugger. That'll be something to spoil my dinner! Let's hope that we manage to get a few quid for him and PL is told to buy a couple of nice shiny new forwards and prove that nobody is irreplaceable. At least as he has a couple of years on his contract we should get a decent fee. Rhodes and Rodrigez anyone?

Yep, Sky haven't tweeted anything. I think my heart rate trebled briefly then.
