Granero backs QPR to transform miserable start to season
Mark Hughes’ men are still without a Premier League win this campaign, but both the former Real Madrid man and New Zealand international Ryan Nelsen believe that can change
Mark Hughes' side currently sit one place off the bottom of the table, having failed to pick up a single win in their opening 10 top-flight matches.

However, former Real Madrid star Granero has experienced a similar situation at Getafe, and says that confidence is the key to success.

"In my first season with Getafe we really struggled. We didn't win our first eight games. The situation was very similar to here," he told reporters.

"But we had a similar confidence to this group of players and we started winning matches. We won five out of our next six.

"We won't panic. This has been a disappointing start but it will help us later in the season."

Meanwhile, centre-back Ryan Nelsen has conceded that QPR's lack of points this campaign has been infuriating for the players, who feel as though they are performing to a high standard.

"The most frustrating thing for us is the performances have been there but the points haven’t been," said the New Zealand international.

"It's scary if you're playing badly and getting beaten fair and square but that’s the infuriating thing.

"We're preparing right, we're performing on the field, but we're not backing it up with points."
