I don't know how many of you guys have watched this film but you should check it out because it is one of the best action movies ever made. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060472/ Sadly, many of the F1 drivers that helped to make the movie later lost their lives in racing incidents. I have listed below some of the drivers that helped to make that film. Bruce McLaren killed 1970 Graham Hill killed 1975 Jim Clark killed 1968 Jo Schlesser killed 1968 Jo Siffert killed 1971 Joakim Bonnier killed 1972 Jochen Rindt killed 1970 Lorenzo Bandini killed 1967 Ludovico Scarfiotti killed 1968 Michael Parkes died 1977 Mike Spence killed 1968 Nino Farina died 1966 Peter Revson killed 1974
Yes, a great film. At times, it captures the era quite well. I am not into films at all but this is surely a must for any Grand Prix racing fan, to get a sense of what the heroism was (is?) all about… Times have changed and F1 has moved on, but I hope those with a narrow view will watch it to gain a greater understanding of why statistics are not the most important thing in true greatness…
