Dunno if the there's one of these already but I'm going to Aintree for the first time tomorrow if anyone is around that wants to meet up for a few scoops? Be good to put a face to a few names if nothing else! Bear I'm mind I said it's first time going so I don't have a notion where anything is...All I know is I'm in the steeplechase enclosure...getting the tickets off some fella tomoro at the course!
Never been on the Saturday DD but all the best. There are some great views from the stands. Not sure whether you can tomorrow but on the other days if you get there early enough you can walk the national course. They may have made the fences easier, some reckon they're no more that hurdles, but when you stand up next to them they are fooking huge! The local lasses are interesting. There was a great picture on t'interweb I saw today of a lady race goer with posh frock, hat, high heels, fake tan and ......tag! Not sure she'd get in to Newbury let alone Royal Ascot. If you pull her make sure she's home by 7pm.
