    Granada are in contact with Sunderland for Modibo Diakite.

    Granada have been among the busiest clubs in Europe this summer and their signing spree will continue this week.

    Spanish sources say Granada are now in talks with Sunderland for Diakite over a cut-price deal.

    The defender spent part of last season on-loan at Fiorentina and had hoped to remain in Florence for the new campaign.

    But he remains on Wearside and is desperate to get a move away with little chance of being part of manager Gus Poyet's plans this term.
