Dannys main weaknesses are that he can't win headers and he can't hold the ball up. If Jones can do that then it will certainly ease the pressure when we are under the kosh. (If he signs that is!)

Whats more disturbing is Jones's lack of game time.

If he comes I'm prepared to be won over but having a guy who's great in the air isn't much use when we're a team that rarely crosses effectively and tend to keep it on the deck.

    Pardon my skepticism.

Have a look at the video, i think he could be quite useful for us, ive seen him play a few times and he does IMO have a much better technique than DG, he is also a beast in the air !!

He does look quite handy, and Laudrup obviously sees something in him.
His goal celebrations are a bit lacklustre though

He needs to work on his somersault before he gets into our first team.

From looking at the video Jones has a number of attributes that are valuable that we are missing in an out and out forward: size-speed-strength, agility, ability to time a jump, shot from distance, heading ability, presence, touch, willingness to turn and take defenders on. DG does not present many relative positives in that list. In our standard shape with buzzing players like JDG, Pablo, Routledge creating space and opportunities with Michu providing the silk and style alongside picking up on the carnage that Jones can create in the box - this can work. I see where ML is going with this.

He is a potential Scotland with extra layers of ability and he looks to have the stamina to play within our pass and move style and do the work that's needed from the lone striker.

    I think I like this.

    Kenwyn or Jones?

As always I'd loved to be proved wrong if our Team is successful.

We need a strong, quick guy to lead the line. His ability in the air is another big advantage. Also he can help defend corners etc (ala Crouch at Spurs and Drogba at chelsea).
For the mooted £3.5 - £4M price tag it could be worse.

I prefer Danny as he's a goal scorer and does work in our system of play, I have a lot of doubts about this Jones even if he has a welsh name ;)

To be honest I'm easy. There are obviously things going on with Graham that we don't know about, so we have to trust Sir Mike on this one.
There's a bloke behind me in the east stand who was trying to get a chant going along the lines of ''fcuk off Kenwyne we'd rather Graham''. It didn't really take off, but it pissed me off because it looks like it may well be happening.
Heard some crazy rumours in the coopers after the game, none of which I fully believe but just thought I'd share:
Apparently Laudrup caught 5 players red handed snorting coke, can't remember all names mentioned but remember Graham, Dyer and Ki, Graham is as good as gone, Dyer is going out on loan and we signed Aspas last thursday.
I don't know why the Aspas signing wouldn't have been announced, but I heard all of the above from a woman who seemed slightly insane with her flower power wellies and probably had a lot of cats...
...apologies if anyone knows her or she's your sister or something :bandit:
