He's 31, cant see him lasting more than 3 more seasons, especially coming in from a different league and having to adjust to the pace of the PL. Didnt say he wasnt as good as Carroll, but we need a younger replacement than this guy.

Far too old to be honest. I imagine we'll be looking at players aged around 25 max.

How about Guilherme from Dynamo Kiev? Just been on loan at CSKA Moscow, 22 years old, 40 goals in 79 senior games and we could probably pick him up for around £5m.

Here's a Youtube compilation too:

This, very good striker though.

Bloody stupid idea, really.

1). He's 32 next month. He's an old player with barely a few seasons left in him. What the hell is the point in investing in someone like that?
2). No re-sale value
3). If we get another 'target man' we're just going to go back to 'long balls up to the big guy'. ENOUGH with the target men. Let's try getting in some quality strikers who can link up with other players and play the kind of creative football found in the top 5 teams.
4). He scored the vast majority of goals when he was partnered up with Dzeko. Who knows how he'll be on his own or how he would be in the EPL. Sometimes the gamble is worth taking, but not for a 32 year old.

No. Lets just stick to our current strategy of seeking out young and proven goalscorers to invest our cash in.

We don't need a target man, get a winger in and Kevin Gameiro and we can play a 5-man midfield like this:

---------Tiote----------

New Winger Nolan Barton

---------Ben Arfa--------

----------Gameiro--------

31 is way out of our target age, hasn't it already been said that we want to secure young, talented players for the future (besides, fat ash wouldn't be able to get aprofit from it).
