    To the Newcastle fans who said we were evenly matched; good call, whilst a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play and discussion on the penalty is now irrelevant, a brilliant free kick was the difference on the day.

    You competed for every ball, showed real desire muscling us off the ball and at the time of the goal you were in the ascendency, Colo and Jonas had a great game and Taylor's the goal was class.

    If the handball incident didnt happen I'd say a draw would have been fair, but that incident left me feeling that Newcastle should had a goal advantage

    Shameless is actually one of the nicer mackems now.

    Admit in the first half I wud of said Sunderland but u couldn't capitalise... Sessegon (sp) is 1 to watch mind, should of been a pen nd sending off so it all evened itself out in the end, buzzin with the result Haway the lads!!!

    I thought Colback looked a tidy player as well. They were better than I thought they'd be, just no cutting edge - we had 10 shots on target to their two. If Gyan or Wickham come into form I think they'll be a force, I'd love to see Cissokho in for the next derby, and hopefully Sturridge on loan.
