Dear All As you maybe aware, since January Claudette & Eddie have been fundrasing so that they can send their 7 year old daughter Grace to the US for an operation which will straighten her legs as she currently has a form of Cerebral Palsy called Spastic Diplegia. QPR FC have been advertising various fund raising activities on the website, and there have been collection buckets outside of the ground since the start of the year, some of which you may have left a contribution. I just wanted to share with you that Grace had the operation yesterday and the correspondence I have had from her family suggests that the operation has been a success. The physio for Grace starts in 4 to 5 days time and this is something that will be on going for a considerable time. If you want to keep track of how Grace is doing, please visit GracemurphySDR via FACEBOOK. I became involved with the fundrasining after reading about this on the QPR website and will hopefully be djing at a future event in September or October. Being part of this fundraising group has also enabled me to meet various supporters club members as well. I wanted to update you on something different other than post a comment on the 28 million or so players linked with the club, or the takeover as I wanted to share some good news.
Thanks for the up-date Ninj, nice to read something positive for a change. Best wishes to Grace and her Parents
Excellent news about Grace ninj - and well done you! Done a fair bit of campaigning myself over the years and know how all about appealing to people's better nature and getting slapped in the face by apathy... however, never capaigned for funds on such a crucial issue as this. Well impressed - not least by the way the result's looking. Thank you for what you've done there.
