To start against Middlesborough .. Can we forgive him for his stupid red card ?. I'm saying yes. please log in to view this image
I'm saying no! Imagine going down to 10 in a Wembley play off final. Notice how Bassong was all over Redmond to get him to forget it - EVEN when it did not matter! Grabban an accident waiting to happen
He has only been sent off once ffs after reacting to someone trying to DDT him WWF style. Alex rates him and he will start .
I don't care if you disagree. Fan's pecking order Hooper Jerome Grabban. Manager's pecking order Grabban Jerome Hooper. Watch this space.
Same starting eleven as today so long as everyone is fit. They're the players who got us there, the system worked against a team who are hard to break down, I can't see Neil wanting to change it up.
Grabban will be in the starting eleven. Boro defence needs to be attacked and he is the player to do it best.
Whether or not Grabban starts next week, IF we win he will be sold he's simply not good enough for the Premier League IMO.
It's a tricky one we have . Jerome, Hooper, Grabban, Lafferty, Wolfswinkel, Loza & Morris. Out of that lot the only one guaranteed to stay is Jerome . IF we do go up we would surely need to offload 3 of those before making new signings . We would probably lose money on Lafferty Hooper & Wolfswinkel as we paid quite high and they have not Impressed.
I'd keep the same line-up with Grabban and Hooper on the bench. If Grabban starts it would most likely be at the expense of Redmond, which would be wrong after his excellent performance yesterday. We might not even be going to Wembley if he hadn't played yesterday.
Agree - keep the same starting 11 and have Grabban on the bench. His pace in the last 20 mins of the game might be useful as could be his ability to take a penalty (if needed ).
Personally think boros defence will struggle with him more than jerome, but also that jerome deserves to start. Difficult one. Backing Alex Neil to make the right call
One thing I like about Grabban is he constantly tries to get behind defenders and they hate it that could break up Boro's defensive style, he terrorised Ipswich defence back in March by doing the same. It's great to have selection dilemma's though.
One player I would keep in the Premier League is Hooper. I dont understand why we wouldnt keep him. I think he would be happy to play a similar role to this season and although I dont think he is the complete striker if I ever needed to bring someone on to get a goal or take a chance hes someone I'd like to have around. Thats before you get into the conversation of who you would bring in for a similar amount of money!
