HMRC have refused to make any comment on confidential tax matters. The Rangers spokesman has been bleating to the papers for eternity like a good 'un.

Maybe the Rangers spokesman should just shut his ****ing geggy, start talking to his panto dame of a chairman and get him to come up with the ****ing readies.

a small amount of money (the disputed sum of just over £1mil) has been ring fenced until after it is decided who is right.
if the tax man is right then he gets that money and if rangers are right then they get to keep it.

either way it is not going to put rangers out of business.
as to the publicity, well with the media in scotland desperate to publish bad news about rangers to prove to celtic how "neutral" they are, they are always going to be looking for any info they can get from whatever source available.
if a tax official, for whatever reason, wants to leak confidential information about rangers then there are plenty of celtic minded media people waiting to snap it up.

I'm sure the first time somebody leaks confidential info about celtic they will be charged with a sectarian crime.

Isn't it time to move on from the usual "the papers only print negative stories about........(insert your teams name here)"? Everyone gets it. Rangers fans and the club haven't helped themselves in the last few years so you can hardly blame the papers for just reporting what people connected to your club have been doing.

The fact is Rangers ain't paying the money and one thing that they are learning is that the taxman doesn't **** about. He screws the man in the street and he screws big business.

Just pay the fecking you owe to the crown that you all love so much and be done with it. There won't be any more negative stories then.

Job done.

And then you can start concentrating on the really big tax battle just around the corner.
