I feel sorry for the people who insisted to me during the window that McLaren was a decent enough coach that if he got a bit of backing from Fat Mike we'd at the very least perform better than we did under Pardew.



I told them that they didn't know what the **** they were talking about, that there was nothing in McLaren's record to support that hypothesis, that there was nothing in Penfold's record to support that hypothesis, that there was nothing in Fat Mike's record to support that hypothesis, and you were all simply doing what Fat Mike wanted by letting blind hope convince you that signing up for another season of this **** just because we stayed in the top flight was somehow a good way of spending a football season.



**** me. I refuse to even go to the bother of faffing on with a stream to watch this ****. As for going to the pub - hell the **** no - who wants that depression in their lives? This is enough to induce alcoholism, and I'm old enough to know that being pissed off and pissed is not a good look for me (tends to lead to encounters with Northumbria's finest)



Stick Smokey and the Bandit on instead, keep boycotting this basket case of a club, and just hope that we will be relegated this season to hopefully persuade Fat Mike that there's no future in owning the club, and if he doesn't go, console yourself he at least won't be making money hand over fist out of turning us into a national joke on the biggest stage of all.



It's our only hope. Mark my words. I've been proven right so many times on here it's not even funny anymore.

I dragged my arse to a laptop to watch the West Ham debacle. Today had to be better, yet it wasn't. The club under Ashley is just completely fcked. The Summer was a shambles given what this club actually needed.

We know that if we continue to fail, and Sunderland do so with us, one of those clubs will get a galvanising shot in the arm by way of new manager. We're on the brink here and as has been said relegation is the best we can hope for now, really.

 

Can't buy into this to be honest. I'm disappointed with the manager so far. I'm disappointed how the money was spent. However I think we just have to stick behind this manager now and give him a chance. He has had a shocker. It won't take much to change that round. The football board can correct their errors in January with a couple of defensive signings. Its not all doom and gloom. I'm all for venting frustrations on a forum but come match day, I think we just have to keep getting behind the team.

 

Whoever wrote that needs to give their head a shake.
They are clearly so blinded by hate that they can't speak coherently.
He's one of those fans who, a couple of games in will be holding up banners and bedsheets outside the Gallowgate for Chelsea wanting SM out.

 

As fans we need to stay united. It's far to early to be making conclusive judgements.
