Dan Thompson scored all four goals as Pompey eased to a friendly victory at Privett Park in a match that marked the official opening of Gosport’s Harry Mizen Stand.

Guy Whittingham’s Blues side was mostly made up of development squad and academy players, but there were starts for Josh Thompson, Liam Walker and Jack Compton.

And there were some familiar faces lining up for the hosts, with former Pompey players Sammy Igoe, Ellis Martin and Aaron Cook all featuring.

Congrats Pompey. I wonder if Farnborough ever finish the Prospekt Road End stand at Cherrywood Road, Portsmouth might play a friendly to mark it's opening?

What a shame they didn't win their FA Cup 4th qualifying round tie and draw us in the first round proper

True, devo, but they probably would have raised their game for the Cup, and beaten us, knowing our luck
