If/When he comes on at the weekend, I wonder what the reaction of the Everton fans are to him. He used to be a gem for them, not really shined up in Newcastle yet though.

    Thoughts on him?

They hate him, he left on a technicality which also meant they didnt get a fee for him.

And as for his ability, he's still young. We wont see him develop until he gets a run of games, be it here when we have injuries or on a loan spell.

My mate is an everton fan, he didnt rate him too highly when he was still with them. He claims he was just an above average youngster, maybe hes right as hes probably seen more of him (than me anyway), or maybe hes just bitter about how he left them and playing him down...

They were very bitter on old 606. Said he was ****e as soon as he left them, and yet a few weeks prior to that they were hailing Rodwell and Gosling as the future of the club.

My stepdad supports Everton and he wasn't bothered when he left Everton. Was always a backup for Fellaini, Cahill, Osman, Neville, Arteta, Rodwell. I don't think Pardew rates him that highly either by the look of things

Should be loaned to the championship to have a good look at him in competitive football.

I have doubts he has Medhdi's level of potential though.

He's on. And I'm not confident about the second half with him playing in the middle. If he scores, which he won't... makes you wonder.

well so far Goslings done nothing at all at newcastle. But dare I say he's having a good game here. Playing in the middle. That's why he left Everton eh?

He had a good game defensively bar the penalty shout.

Decent game but we lost control once Cabaye came off. He's got a lot of work to do to be a real first team contender.

Well from what i seen today hes nothing special like, you could just tell he didnt have a grip on the midfield like cabaye or tiote or even guthrie does, doesnt have that presence or passing range. Im not judging him on just this though obviously, just my views of him today.
