Was actually just thinking for the Arsenal game we may play Gosling and go 4-5-1.

Don't think he is first eleven yet but it is a good headache for Pardew to have!!! Strength in depth!!!

    Abeid?

No way he has zero premiership experience

by playing him against a team that isnt Arsenal? (i'd say he'll be getting cameo/cup appearances)

don't think Gosling is first XI but he'd certainly be first off the bench at the minute

Agreed. Would probably be someone decent to bring on when we're losing and need a fresh approach.

Nothing wrong with the deep end approach! As long as the lad believes in himself throwing him in at the deep end could help.

This. Promising performance from him though. Good signs coming from some of our youth/fringe players.

  15. For the Arsenal game -

    --------------------Krul-----------------

    -Simmo-------Taylor------Colo------Enrique

    Barton-------Cabaye------Tiote------Jonas

    -------------------Marveaux--------------

    --------------Ba/Best/New striker----------

We can bring on Abeid, Gosling and any of the other strikers not playing if we need to.

Ba hasn't looked great pre-season. He looks slow and unfit. His feet just look a bit off. I hope he gets his composure and fitness back in the next couple of games.

If Gosling plays like that again against Fiorentina and Leeds I dont see why not.

    Gosling----Tiote
    Barton-----Cabaye---Ben Arfa*

    Ba

    *Jonas/Marveaux for now

Tend to agree with everything said there but can Marveaux play behind the striker? Has he played there before? Also I think if we get another striker in we might go 4-4-2 since Ben Arfa is missing and take out Marveaux for Erdinc (or whoever the new guy might be)

Edit: Heard Ba had a great game last night and his link up play was important to the win.

There is if you sink so why take a risk when we have other options.

I don't think Gosling will start as first choice but if he can play like that regularly then it will be hard to leave him out
