    Whoudda thought it, eh?

And his first goal for us. Overshadowed a bit today, perhaps? Overlooked? Possibly. Not really shone thus far, but the lad's got something.

Just hope the 100th different PL NUFC goal scorer can be a memorable player for us eh!

    Welcome to the club, lad.

Showed good determination to get the goal. I'm just glad we nicked a consolation. Our 2nd half display deserved it

Definitely been overlooked. It was a typical Nolan goal - run from deep and then a tap-in. I don't know much about him, but if he's basically a fitter Nolan then it'll give us a few more options

Hopefully a big confidence booster for Gosling.

Gosling explained: "I need to start pushing on, getting more minutes on the pitch and hopefully if I impress in training and keep working hard then my time will come."

I think people have been harsh on Gosling. OK he looks a fairly limited player but he puts in a shift, and people seem to forget he's so young and that he has only recently recovered from a long term injury.

    Lay off the lad.

  7. No, Gosling sucks.

    jk ;)

He should get a chance, but not yet. Perhaps more sub apps.

    Our current CM pecking order;

    1. Cabaye
    =. Tiote
    3. Guthrie
    4. Gosling
    5. Perch
    6. Abeid
    7. Smith

When Tiote goes to the ACoN Gosling will see substantially more first XI action, and in the FA cup also. Decent squad player at the moment. Although I hope Abied gets some game time too.

Gosling(currently) is no more than a versatile young squad player. In his Everton days he never really played in the centre, he was mostly out on the right-hand side if I seem to remember although he himself somewhere said he'll like to be known as a central midfielder and that's hopefully what he'll be known as in the future, he can also cover as a full-back I think. Today's goal will do him no harm in terms of confidence though.. right now he's like 4th choice CM but I'm sure his ''time'' will come, especially with Tiote going in Jan he'll get his fair share of starts. A young promising English midfielder I'll rate him right now.. same with Sammy Ameobi. <ok>
