    Keeper's Arsenal Link

Premiership rivals Arsenal are showing an interest in Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon, according to reports.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign a reliable stopper after chopping and changing personnel between the sticks in recent seasons due to a number of high-profile errors.
Wojciech Szczesny looked to have made the position his own last term but he too was guilty of making mistakes the longer he stayed in the first-team and while he seems destined to have a bright future, it's thought Wenger feels he is currently too young at 21 to be Arsenal's regular first-choice keeper.
Manchester City are also thought to be monitoring 28-year-old Gordon, although it's suggested that Arsenal could win any race for his signature as Gordon would more than likely find himself behind Joe Hart in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
It is suggested that Sunderland would be looking for in the region of £6 million for Gordon, who underwent knee surgery in April.

It depends on his fitness, and the price Arsenal are willing to pay of course, but I can certainly see sense all round if this deal comes off.

Sad to see him go as I think he would be world class if he commanded his box. I know at times it has seemed impossible for him to do this as he needed a regular back 4 playing in front of him and we haven't had that these past 2 seasons.

    Good luck if its true.
