Rangers director of football Gordon Smith has criticised players for choosing money over football after Crystal Palace's Neil Danns turned down a move to the SPL for Championship side Leicester City. After missing out on Danns and Dundee United's Craig Conway - with the winger opting for Cardiff City over Rangers - Smith admitted his frustration at his club's lack of pulling power. "I believe it shouldn't always be about money. My own opinion is that players should be making decisions which are football decisions, rather than financial,â he told reporters.[/I] yeah gordon - you are quite right Danns went to leicester solely for the money - but he really wanted to play against the likes of the football hotbeds of inverness, st mirren and et al . In a league where fans the fans can attack a manager because of his religon, a league where there are only two teams who can win it. gordon former football agent turned hypocrite smith what a twat you are - At least with leicester - danns has a chance of playing in the premiership !! so **** off gordon you cocksucking inbred
To be fair to the OP, I would choose Leicester over Rangers too. More money, chance of getting to the Premier League not to mention all the bigotry and sectarian baggage that Rangers have. Life's simply not worth the hassle of being associated with that club.
it is absolutely the right move. why would anyone in their right mind go to rangers over leicester??? there is only one sane option.
Rangers are a small club in decline. Apparently you've tried to sign three or four players and they've all knocked you back.
they rarely get through the qualifiers for the champions league and the quality of the spl is poor compared to the championship. leicester have sven as a selling point, obviously lots of ambition and lots of money. whats not to like??
Sigh. It's like feckin 606 all over again. Anyways, even as a Celtic fan, I can say the quality of Rangers, and the rest of the SPL is far above what certain folk down south seem to think. One of many examples to support this - Charlie Adam. Subbed after 45 mins of a Rangers Reserve match for being dross, 2 years later rated at 10million with supposedly the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool after him. Now if he had chosen one of the bigger teams in the Championship with a strong chance of promotion I may have understood it more, but not with Leicester (and I say that as someone with a bit of a soft spot for Leicester as well).
i love the whole argument that only two teams can win the league. lets look at the EPL - how many teams can win that? two, three at an absolute puch. Spain? two. The chances are most of you clowns have never watched an SPL game but somehow you know its an inferior product. The SPL has many problems but to suggest that it is a better career move to join leicester than rangers is laughable - and this is from a celtic fan. he has joined leicester for one reason and one reason only and that my friends is money. same reason he turned down leeds and cardiff
What will this lad choose: red or green? please log in to view this image (Manchester-United-2008-Photocall-John-O-Shea)
And the last time Leicester played against Barca in a CL game broadcast all over Europe was......? Epic fail by this epic ass-muncher
