on the savoy show ignorant mouthy gobshite thinks he's big cos he swears at people I reckon I'd knack him
Yeah, me too! Er.. that is I agree you could knack him, not that I could. But I wish you would; he’s a fcn bully.
"put the tray down and **** off". I would have put the tray down on his head, ****ed off and never came back
How ****ing staged was that, these are top chefs, probably as good as him, It was probably set up for them to do a couple of things wrong so he can come in, swear his mouth off then everything goes to plan and he's the superstar, what a ****ing knob
It's perfectly possible to do that without being so confrontational though. Someone will flatten him on tv one day, and he'll deserve it. He's the Clarkson of cooking, only without the humour.
A tv chef who is in demand because it’s ‘entertaining’ As a chef I respect him, but I can’t say I enjoy any of his shows
I think the reason he hasn't been knocked out is probably because 90% of his shows are staged, I think he's obviously a hot head in the kitchen and it's something the programme producers have ran with. The more I watch any of these reality programs the more I can see through how much they have been staged, after speaking with 4 different people that have appeared on them they all said the same thing, you are told exactly what to say, when to say it and how to say it. Reality TV couldn't be further from reality if it tried
Its rather common in todays media that the bigger the **** you are the more exposure/money you get. I blame Anne Robinson since the Weakest Link. Ever since we have been drenched with programmes/characters where they are encouraged by their employers/agents to behave like pompous oafs/drunken idiots or ****s. (Jeremy Clarkson, Gordon Ramsey, Piers Morgan, Geordie Shore, Love Island etc). Theres no point in slagging off these people because thats what they are paid to do. Only because there are a vast amount of people who get enjoyment out of watching programs that pretend to be spontaneous but are in fact carefully scripted and/or edited. Gordon Ramsey might be a bit of a twat in real life? I dont know, possibly. But he'll probably be nowhere near the twat that he presents himself as on TV.
Real Chefs are hard grafting people that do long hours using a great skill. But this TV chef worship, going on like they've cured cancer is cringe as f@@k. Celebrity masterchef was on and that Rhylan Clark was a guest judge, sat there with 3 other knackers going on how they enjoy fine dining, delicately taking the food from the fork like snobs and moaning with joy at every bite. Mate it's steak and chips. Bloke at work told me about when his dad collapsed and was rushed hospital, not long after this heart specialist was arrived, operated and left. A few days later the specialist came back to the ward and seen the gent to explain what he had done (surgical wise). The lad, his dad and Dr talked for a bit. This was the chain of events from the doctors side, and this is all true. Went to work Went home Makes his tea Sits down to eat tea recives an emergency call to go in puts tea in the oven heads to work saves a man's life gose home warms tea That's a hero, not some knacker charging 45 quid for a burger and chips, belittling and swearing at people.Sorry but it pisses me off. TV chef worship man.
Great Post....couldn't agree more. Lad I work with ( a chef as it happens) has an internal defibrillator/pacemaker fitted, and at some point will need a heart transplant. He is under the care of the Freeman hospital in newcastle, and will often get a phone call at work to ask of he's OK, as the pacemaker is connected remotely to a computer at the Freeman, and they get alerts if his heart has a "flutter". Anyway, over the past twelve months they have talked more about a transplant, to the point they decided he should now go on the waiting list. When he told us at work, he said after the consultant had said about a transplant, he ( my mate) said "it's not as easy as that though"....meaning there was other things to consider (work etc...). To which the consultant replied, "well, actually it is". It's just another day at the office for them really. Yet some people fawn over someone making someone's dinner....I just don't get it.
Using that rationale, you should never cheer another Sunderland goal. Why should you applaud someone kicking a ball across a line when people are saving lives?
The daft thing is he is a brilliant chef in his own right, he must be getting paid shed loads to act the total knob.
you're right, I'll burn my season ticket. Joking aside, I don't worship footballers or kiss their arses if I ever meet any.
Cheering a goal or appreciating a goal scorer/great save/ pin-point pass etc is celebrating something that gives you pleasure. You can do this but at the same time accept ‘that there are people doing far more important things in life.
