    RIP Gordon Harris,died at the age of 73,A bit past his best when we signed him,but still skillful

    He was in the original 1966 world cup squad before it was reduced from 40 to 22.

    Good old Rickets - sorry to see you go.

    He moved like an old man but, even when he joined us, was easily good enough to get into the current 1st team.

    I see that his nickname was supposed to be 'bomber'..when he played us iirc he was nicknamed stumpy cos of his short legs.

    Just before my time but lots of the older lads I know (mid fifties upwards) speak well of him. RIP fella. Not a bad career goal return for a inside forward/midfielder. 85 goals in 384 games (Wiki)

    i went to school with gordon and his brother terry (who was better than him). when he end his playing career he came back to the village where he was born and worked on the coal deliveriesa very quiet man he would sit in the club with his drink and a stranger would never know who he was, sorry for his death cos he was a real nice guy.
