Just saw at the bottom of the Zarate story in the Sunday mirror that he'd joined Bruce at Hull after we released him. Had anyone ever seen him play? His old man was a tidy player!

That was my thinking, surely there's value in keeping the more promising young lads on rolling contracts to at least get some kind of fee? If he's good enough for the top end of the Championship you'd think we'd try and get a fee. Although saying that, so much of it is luck and the manager liking the look of a player. Would Henderson have come to the fore under Keano in he way he did under Mr Potato head? Steady loan spell in Coventry didn't sign post England caps and a big money move!

I think in this day and age the benchmark is so high in the prem that if he is deemed to have reached his potential at our club and he cant get anywhere near the first team set up then his next stage has to be a fringe player at a high level with a chance of getting a game. Sell on clauses and such like make for potentially good business, i take your point on loans, but think in this lads case we've probably took him as far as his dad sees fit
