All entering the last year of there contracts, what do we do? Try and tie them down to new contracts? Let them run out there contracts? or sell them now? With Gordon it looks like Brucie has got sick of him being on the sidelines for a few months everyseason and with Arsenal reportedly interested in him think its time to get a few quid while we can and give Mig and Westwood the pre-season to battle it out for the number 1 shirt. Anton, gets some undeserved stick at times and there hasn't been any talk of him being or going to get offered a new contract. I like the lad but its quite obvious Brucie doesn't. Anyone rekon if we got rid of Anton going for Mensah and having him as a squad player would be a good option or should we stay well away? Steed, love the bloke and IMO should be offered a 2year contract, never moans when he isn't in the side and brings something different.
...I think all of this is pretty accurate PM....acquisition of Vaughan would be a great challenge on the left (and therefore cover of course) which is a great reason for him to stay on a two...Ive said before how hes a bit of intelligence compared to the other type of mid field weve got...plus better strikers might bring out the best in him ....weve lost Bolo you dont wanna chuck everything out.......as for Gordon....great deposit on a striker!!!
If we could get a decent fee for Gordon then let him go. I would certainly think about offering the other two extensions on their contracts.
Think all 3 have served their purpose, but out of them all the one I would keep if we had to would be Anton. x

agree about steed, we may as well keep him for another season for what we'd get for him, very good player to come off the bench for half an hour, as for ferdinand and gordon i can't see them getting much game time with our new signings, i say sell these 2 if possible
