I am not really a fan of gooogle as they are forever trying to take over everything..
Last night without warning when trying to reaccess my virgin.net account, it suddenly froze up, I had a page that ultimately had to be agreed to stating GOOOOOOGLE THIS AND GOOOOOOgle THAT, GOOGLE needs you to agree or you cant proceed. An hour on the phone, after eventually getting through that is, and being one of thousands the operator told me, it seems the virgin e mail platform has now been taken over by GOOOOOOOOGLE. Apparently none of the virgin call centre staff knew it was going to happen, and I must take my hat off to the call centre op as he was cool calm and collected, and chased it..

You need to contact Virgin, you're not getting the service they are supposed to provide. their internet is usually superb.

if you phone them they will probably grade you for free.. 150 is a freecall form a virgin landline.

I'm with Sky, not too bad but to be fair we live so far from the exchange that we get slow speeds compared to other areas so they are all much for like.
They did look after us the other week when the landline went down by the wind causing the whole street to lose connection.
Reason I like Sky is then all my bills just go to them and I know where I am, plus their customer service is really good in my opinion but you do need to stand your ground with them for the first few minutes to get what you want.
BT I thought was a nightmare as their billing system was so confusing you didn't know if they was taking the piss.

Agree with sky customer relations being good, when I got through!
I was not to happy with my package creeping up every now and again, so said I am fed up and couldn't afford anymore rises...
I expected to pay a similar amount with some of the on demand allowed, we get some but not all.
After establishing I was one of the longest serving customers ! I finished up with an amazing deal that cost me less .. I was asked if I had sky broadband and said no, happy with my current, no pressure to have all with them but might be a good idea!

I don't blame them for going with Google. Google build a lot of ****ty products, but one of their absolute winners is without a doubt Gmail. It used to be better before they started removing words on the buttons and started adding non-descriptive icons for everything.

I still use and like Gmail, but I've moved any important stuff over to Fastmail now. It's a million times better than Gmail, and is pretty easy to hook another email address up to.

Either way, if Virgin's email service is being **** then I'd have a word. I know a few people that have managed to get some money off when their service has gone to **** and it's affected their business. Funny thing is their home connection is a million times better than their business lines; we've just moved from Virgin, despite them refunding three months of bills due to their terrible connection.
