I remember the Pretty Polly stakes this season, I had a wedge on Midday at Evens 5 days before the race, on the morning of the race she was 1/2, and I thought that's buying money, so I had another wedge on at 1/2. Her only real opponent was a fillie who had finished down the field in the Oaks LTO and Midday is one of the best filly's of the modern era, I was convinced I could not lose. what happens? She gets beat 6 lengths by Misty For Me, what a kick in the bollocks that was
