Morning Everyone, Blackpool tonight, it can't be worse than the reverse fixture, when Ruchubka had the howlers. I'd love it if we beat them. Do we keep the same team as Saturday or mix it up a little???

Who would you like to go up this season. Looks like Reading are already there, which other two apart from the top six/eight would you like to see go up?

The cull has started, my guess is Forsell and AOB will be next...

Warnock has pledged to do something about our miserable midweek record. We have won just 4 out of 22 games played on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and have had some horrendous results including the 7-3 v Forest, 5-0 v Blackpool, 5-2 v Barnsley, and the 6-4 v Preston last season....

I'd prefer blackpool to go up by the playoffs but not at the cost of a win for us tonight...forsell, rachubka and alot of the defence will go

Morning Elland, morning Frazer... er sorry, Elmo. I'd like to see Reading & the Hammers go up auto & then Blackpool to beat Saints in the playoffs. Already looking forward to next season & a visit to the Valley.

I so hope we turn Blackpool over tonight. The reverse fixture & 'Chubgate was soooo bad. That said, I think it'll be a 2-2 draw.

On departures, I think we can assume Ruchubka will be leaving as will Forsell. Maybe AOB as well & possibly even Bruce, although I think that would be a mistake. I doubt Kisnorbo will go yet, as Warnock will probably want to take a look at him once his injury clears up, as I think will be the case with Somma. Anyone else likely to leave?

I am pretty confident Paynter played with the intention of popping him in the shop window over the weekend and with nothing to play for and O'Dea being included I think we can safely say Warnock is going to be offering him a contract meaning Bruce and Bromby to be next to leave once we have a replacement. For tonight I would rest Lees and start with both Bruce and Bromby, I would rest McCormack and play Paynter again simply for the fact I would hope he scores to really increase some interest for him.

We have lost two players, we still need to lose at least another five my betting they will be Forssell, Paynter, Bromby, Connolly and Bruce. I think we are stuck with Pugh and Warnock probably sees him as a utility player and of course, a lot depends on the contract signing for Snoddy, Clayton and White...

Reading taking into account resources, last season and this they deserve to go up along with Southampton who have been there all season, they have a great manager and he was shown the correct backing in January bringing in Sharp. I don't want to see Hammers or Birmingham go up, I have a feeling we could see both is serious financial problems if they don't making them both weaker for next season which is good for us. Cardiff fans do get on my tits from time to time so Blackpool via the playoffs.

    Morning all.

Promotion:- Reading, West Ham & Southampton, purely for less travel for the faithful <laugh>
Players to go:- AOB, Forsell, Kissa, Bromby, Ruchubka, Nunez for starters as we need a new dressing room atmosphere next season....MOT

Ristac, I'd be surprised if Bromby went. He can play in a variety of positions & gives us an attacking option with his long throws. He's also better than O'Dea who I regret Warnock is probably going to sign.

Can't see Paynter going, as I think he might just have done enough in the last two games to earn a reprieve. I get your "putting him in the shop window" approach. I just think that when he gets it right, he's a 20 goal man. Whilst he's different from McCormack in the way he plays, he's definite competition for Becchio. Covers slightly less ground than Becchio, but would appear to be able to pay off McCormack. The jury's still out on him I think.

AOB, Forsell & Rachubka I think Whites. I think Bromby will stay for the reasons I say above. I also think Nunez will stay. Kisnorbo might get at least a temporary reprieve until he returns from injury & Warnock can have a look at him.

dont think we can mate. Jip Jap sorts that board so he will need to. I will take a look though.

Elland, your mate sa1nts is back. Want me to deal with him or you happy to clear that one up? I just read back through his comments, looks like OLOF owned him & even lambrettaman has said he is as bad as AKCJ.

Why did you ban him? Constant wummery?

Shame really, most saints fans have been top class.

Boggers - To be honest I had forgot about AOB and agree, it will probably be he that leaves. I guess a lot will depend on contract lengths. Paynter has hit 20 goals once in 9 full seasons, he really is Div 1 standard. Saying that it depends on the funds made available, Becchio, McCormack and Somma are all decent players, do we have Paynter as back-up or another brought in who is no better than the other three, not much use when you can only play 1 or 2 at a time.

On a personal note I would like to see at least one quality player come in for every two that leave, Mika and Parker have left, I would assume Robinson will be the replacement. Forssell and Paynter out and someone who can and will challenge to start every game alongside Bechhio or McCormack??

75 goals scored is what we need for promotion - I know we need to concede a lot less as well but promoted teams usually manage to bang in around the 75 mark, this season an exception with reading who are top and scored just 66 but with an excellent defensive record. If we want promotion next season we MUST have two strikers who can bang 20 goals in each, we need an impact sub who can come on and score and we need 20 goals minimum from the midfield. If Snodgrass stays we have 10 goals, we still need that Gradel replacement.

I think we can do it (the goals that is) with what we have plus one or two quality midfielders - Sam, White, Nunez which ones will leave and who will stay? I like White out wide as he is our only player with pace but he isn't going to score many, make or break time for Sam and does Nunez need to go out on loan or is it time to wave goodbye...
