The Club has posted three messages from players on the official site which sound very much like 'farewell, nice to have known you' (I nearly referred to them as 'obits' because they had that sort of ring to them, but that would have been very misleading) -

    Giorgis Karagounis

    Stan Manolev

    Urby Emmanuelson

I guess we already knew about Kara but this seems to confirm that we are not going to folllow up on Stan or Urby either. That just leaves Eyong Enoh and Mladen Petric to wonder about among the short term 'newbies'. [I'm assuming Emanuel Frimpong is also gone.]

I saw that Briggs was on the bench today for Palace, and not even brought on as a sub.
Another player to add to the above list, best for his and our future.
Its also time to move along both Stockdale, and Trotta, as i fear they will never be first teamers for us.

Swiss papers are reporting that there is interest there for Mladen - especially from his old club, GC -

"I have offers from Switzerland, "says Mladen Petric. Both FCL motorsport boss Alex Frei and YB-mate Fredy Bickel want to bring the former FCB and GC players back into the Super League"

Is Richardson on a long term contract or is it due to run out this summer? Would quite like to say goodbye to him.

Likewise silky, but we gave him 3 year deal. So, two summers to go since with his casualty record can't see anybody coming in for him.

Turkish papers are reporting that Borussia Dortmund and (the one I think we knew about) Galatasaray are interested in Kerim Frei.

"Borussia Dortmund have been scouting Fulham FC winger and are preparing a move according to Sporx.

The 19-year-old winger made only eight appearances last season due to a succesion of injuries.

"On a personal level, I don't think it was a great season," Kerim told the club's official website. "I had two injuries and that set me back - it was difficult to get back to the level that I wanted to be at. But every day I feel a lot better, sharper, stronger and quicker. "It's unfortunate that we now have the break because all I want to do is play football and show what I can do again." Adding,

"My number one target is to break into the first team again and impress the manager and coaches over the summer months - I want to be in their plans for the new season."

The Turkish international winger is also being closely monitored by Galatasaray."

I'd also do a straight swap for either Hummels or Lewandowski.

With the youngsters coming through like Frei and Trotta, I believe we should loan them to clubs abroad for a season or half the season, so if Galatasary or Dortmund want him, let he go out for a loan fee. I think he'd come back a better player. Chelsea have done it with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and others. The thing you have to watch is that he gets signed up till about 2016, so we don't lose him to early. I think this helps the player giving him a new experience and the club to hold onto him because lots of youngsters in the Premier seem to fade away after a good start and need time to mature. We seem to have so many good young players coming through that a we won't be able to keep them all, but Frei being only 19 is one we should try to keep and see if he can make it as a Premier player with a bit more maturity.

It would seem that Frei has a contract till 2015 with option of an extra year.

To answer Bandit below, Dortmund probably think he has the raw talent to be able to turn him into another Gotze in a year or so.

One question, if Frei can't make it into our first team, how would he make it into the team that finished runners up in the Champions League?
