As a southern Toon fan it has always been difficult to get to games up in Newcastle, was offered a ticket up to the game Vs Palace two weeks ago but its a few hundred quid for the ticket and to get there let alone any food/drink, programs etc but as a massive football fan I have been to watch loads of teams play at loads of different stadium.

I quite regularly go to watch AFC Wimbledon and was one of the first on the pitch to celebrate when they stayed up in League 2 a few years ago and already have the play off tickets booked for this year.

    BUT

I have been going to the Boleyn with one of my mates for years whenever his old man can't make it, I was in the home end when we were beaten 2-0 this year, all the regulars gave me a hard time as I find it hard to keep my emotions in check when in the wrong end but all in good spirit.

I will be sad to see them close the doors tonight as its a fantastic stadium with great supporters who make a load of noise (I'd never go watch le arse or chelski). Hopefully I'll be able to go see them at the Olympic Stadium to compare but there is something special about Upton Park (hasn't got a stitch on the cathedral on the hill though when its rocking) and to get a fix on EPL footy next year. :emoticon-0121-angry

Anyone else regularly attend other teams fixtures/stadium and which are your favourite to visit.

It's good to see grass roots football.

Shame that some idiots ruined their party by being knobheads. Every club has them though I suppose.

Yeah a massive shame, my mate said there were thousands upon thousands out drinking at the local pubs who didn't have tickets. Probably the ones causing the trouble.

But almost fitting for West Ham to leave their home of 112 years with a bit of violence although the majority of fans left that behind in 70/80's.

Yeah, I suppose if they wanted a full tribute to their history then there had to be a bit of aggro in there somewhere.

Is Jesse Lingard from Moss Side by any chance? He was loving the action.

Let's say it's not a club I'm particularly fond of. Piss take what they paid for the Olympic Stadium.

True - they got themselves a very good deal on the Olympic Stadium but porn peddlers like Gold and Sullivan will have "sweetened the deal" somewhere along the road, was very surprised Rednapp didn't end up there along with them. The local post office would have run out of brown sealed envelopes by now.
