It emerged earlier on Tuesday that a deal had been agreed between the clubs and the winger was set to undergo a medical with Boro. It is now understood that the transfer has been finalised, with Adomah penning a three-year contract at The Riverside. Adomah decided to leave Ashton Gate following City's relegation to League One and he saw a transfer request refused earlier this summer Wigan Athletic had two bids turned down and City boss Sean O'Driscoll stated last month that he was keen for a swift resolution to the situation He has been a great bloke, I say goodbye and good luck to a star and a gentleman and all the luck for the future mate and cheers Uncle Albert... http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ch-signing-of-albert-adomah-from-bristol-city
Gutted he's no longer a city player but we all knew this day would come Thanks for everything Albert. Been a pleasure watching you down the right wing. Good luck at Middlesbrough
Couldn't be arsed to run for the shirt last season. Hope he doesn't waste his talent as he isn't a dislikeable bloke.
All depends on whom Sean wants and Burt can convince to join the revolution at the Gate, which in turn will depend largely on how Sean is seen by players and what they think of the type of football he wants his teams to play.
Not sure about star. More than decent at times, but the times become ever more infrequent. Stock was declining by the month. Will be interesting to see if he can become more consistent at another club. Don't think he is good enough for a step above the championship.
A season ago I would have thought a million was under the odds now it's well over the top. Bloke might be nice to fans but where it counted last season be was woefully inconsistent. Andy Cole could get away with less than a 100% due to being class. A star would be good in a **** side.
Great bloke with a good attitude. Was straight with the fans and put in a transfer request which many players won't do as it costs them money. Have some good memories of Albert and wish him all the best. Would be good if we can get in another goal scoring striker with the money. Haven't heard anything about Barnet being due any of the money which is a bonus. If I was one of their fans I would feel a bit sick about that as it was decided by a tribunal.
I think his attitude held him back. His technique holds him back and his delivery/passing. Great touches, good pace, but he lacks drive. Not one I would ask the kids to watch, because they would see minutes and matches of nothing. Good bloke maybe, but rather have a twat in the XI making the most of what they have.
Let us down on the pitch big time last season, In SOD i trust to get better replacements with better commitment to the cause.
Crushed by this ... Still seeing him now Demanding the ball Never wasting a pass Never shirking a challenge Charging back to support his team mates Urging others to do more to avoid relegation Vessels at bursting point, eyes bulging. Spurs should have put on s bid with the Bale money.
Oooooo now youv'e done it Sixtyseconds......you will have all the Albert Adomah lovers on your case! Its all Lee Johnsons fault anyways.
Albert Adomah set to complete £1m move today please log in to view this image But Boro manager Tony Mowbray warns that the winger is not the goalscorer the club are also looking for Albert Adomah is the kind of player who will excite the Boro fans, predicts Tony Mowbray. The Bristol City winger was set to complete his £1m move to the club today, penning a three-year deal. He spent yesterday at Rockliffe Park and completed a medical before discussing personal terms. Mowbray revealed that he sees the 25-year-old Ghana international as a creative player rather than a finisher. âWeâve had a few conversations over the last couple of years about Albert,â he said. âLetâs hope he can help us, though heâs not the goalscorer we are still searching for. âHeâs somebody who can add a little bit of excitement to our team, a bit of forward thrust, a little bit speed and weâll see how he goes. âHe brings directness so letâs hope he has a decent time with us. âAlbert is a creative wide player who can run up and down the right wing, cause teams problems with his speed and his trickery. âHe can create chances but ultimately we need people to put the ball into the net when the ball comes into the box. âWeâre looking hard and working very hard on that.â That is a professional football managers view of Albert, funny how opinions differ, I think Albert is a cracking fella and good luck to him...
I remember when Adomah first joined, and started putting in great performances. He was happy to be recognised in the streets of Bristol, and was happy to see the fans praising his ability. £1m isn't too bad, and although I think Barnet get a bit of that I reckon we can look back on Adomah's time here with happiness. Given how **** we've been since he's been here, I think he's the shining light in a time of despair. I'm just sad that he couldn't enjoy some of the better times with us.
