I go to all the games so I haven't actually heard it, but I can imagine Bob Moncur having plenty of good input.

Real Radio losing Newcastle matches. If they are just covering Sunderland matches surely they cant be called Real Radio

Actually gutted if this is true. Even though I'd only listen to it if I couldn't find a stream for an away match I'l still miss their commentry.

    Who could replicate this?

When I delivered to places near Boro like ferryhill and Trimdon. I got the Boro matches and then Sunderland matches had to keep on retuning

Absolute shame because I love Justin Lockwood's commentary as well, one minute it's like a twelve year old's balls have dropped and he's getting a bit over excited over the football, and another he sounds like the most mental, insane geordie bastard there is

Real Radio has lost both Newcastle and Sunderland commentry, the reason I've read thet Real Radio won't be doing itis because NUFC wanted £60,000 off them to do it which they couldn't afford.

Shame I like Justin Lockwood, not fussed with Moncur. His banter on the legends is ****e.

Goodbye radio coverage for me then :(!
I could get the south tower down here on my car radio, so as long as the Mackems weren't playing I could still get the signal as far down as Nottinghamshire (lost it around the other Blyth on the A1).
Radio Newcastle barely works much further south than Durham, nevermind North Yorkshire nor further south to Leeds!
Used to listen to the match if I was out and about and the internet streams for BBC Newcastle go off when covering a match for licensing reasons so can't just stream it from my iPhone & plug that into the car :emoticon-0101-sadsm.

Lockwood was going mental when we beat Huddersfield in the Carling Cup last season.

His reaction to the Tiote goal is brilliant aswell. <laugh>
