Thank you very much for all of your contributions over the years.I for one feel embarrassed over the way some people have treated you because of who your father is.Once again many thanks. Signed A Sheep
Not a big LJ fan on the pitch but I admired his maturity, dignity and honesty and how he always conducted himself, never, ever heard him down our club, all the best for the future LJ,you are a genuine bloke..
Nice bloke, great professional, friendly and open. always gave 100%. Sorry wasn't good enough at this level as a player. Wish him well, Sure he will do well for someone, (maybe even the Sags!)
A true professional, wish you all the best Lee, you deserve it, and for the couple that never had a good word to say about you, (and you know who you are) come on and write something deserving about the lad.
Very well said AD, my sentiments too. All the best to LJ, always remember what he done for our club, cheers mate.
Yep a great shame, top professional. On his day as good as any other creative midfielder in The Championship but unfortunately those days didn't come often enough. Some of our fans ought to be ashamed by the way they treated him. It was hardly his fault he got picked and wasn't consistently good enough. He gave 100% on and off the field and for that he should be applauded. Is Del shifting some personnel in order to bring in Morris and Sandaza?
"It was hardly his fault he got picked and wasn't consistently good enough" It wasn't the fans fault either? Your last sentence -- I hope so!
I'm glad he's gone, because once and for all the scapegoat is gone and LJ can finally go off in search of first-team football at a team where he won't be constantly hounded. He was a top player when he was with us, and his stint at Derby showed that he could handle the Championship. I doubt he's up to it any more so hopefully he'll end up somewhere in League 1. That being said, I really hope for his sake he doesn't run back to daddy. He'd be a cracking signing for them, but it'd be a stupid career move to spend all your playing days under your Dad.
'Very well said AD, my sentiments too' - AD and BJA - get a room. 'It was hardly his fault he got picked' - Agree - but come on £6k a week softens the blow. 'and wasn't consistently good enough'' - Agree - that's all I ever moaned at. Nepotism. To the Sheep and Clappers '(and you know who you are)' - Let's see how many Championship games he plays now. As for LJ - you most definitely were never a Championship player but agree with others - you always gave 100%.
I think we all agree then, a decent squad player who will give you 100% commitment on and off the field. Not Championship standard but on his day a class act. If I was managing a League One side without funds who had a solid midfield but lacking a playmaker I would be calling Lee's agent.
I agree Banksy. I still think he's League One standard so should be a cracking purchase for a League Two club. I'd definitely be on the phone if I were managing any League Two club!
Mr Lee Johnson. Thank you for your professional services to our club and the manner in which you conducted yourself. Oth on and off the pitch. You have been a credit to this and yourself. Your business acumen has ensured you will be financially secure for the remainder of your days. It was not your fault that you were offered such a lucrative contract that only a fool would turn down. Something not everyone appreciated. There is no doubt you have a footballing talent that deserves to be recognised by another club. It pains me to say this but there is a club across the city who would benefit from your skill, knowledge and dignity. I personally wish you every success for the future, you have behaved like a true gentleman throughout your time with us and have made a significant contribution to the history of this club. Thank you.
