An important part of our rise. Makes me very angry that a section of fans turned on him. He looked languid, but always gave 100% and didn't cause waves when he wasn't being picked. All the best for his next venture.

    I shall miss Guly.

I wonder who the fans will choose to pick on now?

Probably Victor as 90% of our fans don't realise how good he is and his errors are always blown up out of proportion while other players can get away with it.

Then again, his errors happen infront of the back two when we're vulnerable. Just like you'd notice a gaff prone gk more than a winger. Anyway this thread is supposed to be about Guly.

Bye Guly, I'll miss you. I stated two years ago that Guly would "be a big hit in the Premier League". I was wrong, but he's still a legend. Good luck, G10.

He's trending on Twitter, great sendoff.

I'll miss Guly. Wasn't our most important player in the Prem but was very good in League One and the Championship. Hope he continues his career in Sunny Brazil or something.

Hope that reminds many how important he was in our rise. Always liked Guly, sad to see him go!

Local top end chronic dealers losing chunk of business as he leaves. Gang war to break out in Southampton as they fight over turf in an effort to compensate?

Glad he got a good send off. Some wonderful goals...shame he couldn't do the same at a higher level. Valuable team member.

Good man around the place who provided us with a lot of great moments. A real character, he'll be missed.

That sash kit really worked for Guly; something about the style of it suited his languid gait. God bless you Guly mate. You were never quite gonna be the most gifted Brazilian, but you showed flashes of the old samba magic.

Agreed, he suited the sash perfectly!

Many thanks Guly, one of the League 1 legends. I will always remember seeing him score away at Yeovil in the 1-1, not 100% sure but I believe it was his first goal for us. Just wish he had scored in the Prem, he deserved it.
    All the best good Sir.
