Headley and grumpy have closed it down due to work commitments etc. I expect monitoring it with a rod of iron must have been time consuming as well. I don't think you helped brb by making reasonable arguments against their regime. I thought one of the silly things they had on there was transfer speculation, , you weren't allowed to speculate unless it was from what they considered to be a reliable source, which in their opinion was a newspaper link.We all know how reliable newspaper stories are, , don't we. Unless you work fot the Daily Mirror of course. Some of the posters on there were very good. , I hope people like FOM, REG and Baz in oz,to name but 3, come onto here. The next time I see Lee (FOM) I'll tell him about this site as he makes good match reports.
It's a difficult one for me because I actually very much liked Gills365, I certainly relayed my support to the administration team when they got hacked that time. Sadly though we had our differences which I'm not going into but I can only defend by saying you have to get to know and understand me as an individual before passing judgement, and only people that have actually met me can voice that. You mention the media vinney, it is probably well known my principles on the media so yes there is a conflict of interests for me, not saying it's wrong it is just who I am. I don't ever believe that my account deserved removing and I can sit here typing away for ever and a day my arguments. However, at the end of the day a good website has closed and that will be a loss to many Gills supporters that have followed within that community over the last 10-13 years. Hence it's a sad loss because competition is always good and it is about offering people choice. Gills365 offered a very controlled environment, whereas we offer sort of middle of the road, while others offer more alternative options. We make the choices that cater for our level of taste and tolerance. So yes hard feelings on how I felt I was treated but sad one's to know a lot of supporters have lost a very good community forum.
Agree there brb. Gills365, while not for everyone, offered a great place for tightly moderated football talk. It has been great for gills fans having 3 or 4 very good and very different boards to cater for different tastes. 365, not606, fansonline & gillsconnect couldn't be more diverse yet all catering for the one set of fans. There may be more I'm not aware of. There aren't many clubs that have such a range. When I'm trawling for other clubs forums when we play them, I often find other teams only have one regular forum. We are very lucky indeed. I for one will miss Gills365.
I have to say. Sod them. Ran by a little hitler who has more interest in UFC than football. Glad to see the back of the dear leader and his ridiculous ideas of what constitutes the truth. For a man who insisted on sources above all he never quite walked his own line, while waiting for MA to be announced I said I thought it would be Stephen Constantine, dear leader claimed he had concrete evidence that Constantine never even got an interview, said concrete source was a random bloke on twitter who claims to know hundreds of football managers but can provide proof for none of it. Had a good laugh a few months later when Constantine himself confirmed in an interview he had been interviewed and actually wanted the job! The majority of people there were decent enough, I just refuse to abide by moronic rules enforced by a moron.
