Brother of celebrity Twitter start, Rio, and QPR football defender man, Anton Ferdinand, has revealed that his life could have taken a different, altogether more auto-tuned path in his younger days.

The R’s centre-half, who is apparently good mates with JLS member Marvin Humes, said:

“We were the original JLS. We used to sing a lot together when we were younger and do talent competitions. We had a group of friends that used to go round each other’s houses and sing.”

“I’d definitely like to think about a collaboration with them in the future.”

A ‘collaboration’ with them? One imagines JLS would be looking to work with the likes of - damn it, who do the kids like these days? – Will Smith or Shania Twain, rather than Anton bloody Ferdinand.

Still, with Rio’s dancing background and Anton’s (apparent) vocal prowess, I see a post-football music/entertainment career awaiting the Ferdinands.

Get in Gary Neville as the ugly fellow on bass guitar and they could even, whisper it, be the new Bros.

Liverpool just handed 6th place to Newcastle. Hopefully the way football is with QPR winning last night they won't win two games in a row and their minds will be on their next game at loftus road.

Im expecting a big reaction from the players and expecting a performance similar to when we beat Norwich

QPR captain Joe Barton has criticised fans who booed him during the 3-2 win over Liverpool - but admitted it was the worst he has played in his career.

Some supporters cheered when Barton was substituted with just over an hour gone, with QPR one down, before scoring three in the last 13 minutes to win
    .
"Disappointed with fans booing, we're meant to be in it together," Barton said on social networking site Twitter.

"They won't break me, guaranteed. I've been through much worse."

The 29-year-old has been struggling to find his best form since joining QPR from Newcastle on a free transfer in August 2011.

    JOEY BARTON AT QPR
    Appearances: 25
    Goals: 2
    Yellow cards: 6
    Red card: 1

"Form is temporary, class is permanent. I was awful tonight. Worst I've ever played in my career," he added.

"But we won . . . and that's the most important thing. Onwards and upwards."

With Barton off the field, QPR recovered from two goals down to claim victory at Loftus Road, the winner coming from his replacement Jamie Mackie.
QPR manager Mark Hughes said Barton is too thick-skinned to be troubled by criticism.

"Joey was not having the best of times," said Hughes. "It was unfortunate that maybe a few felt the need to possibly boo him, but Joey is very strong, as we all know.

"He won't let it affect him and will play a big part in what we do from now until the end of the season.

"Tonight was not his night, but there will be other nights."

Barton criticised Beckham recently. The last 24 hours have shown what seperates the two. Beckham took his criticism on the chin, got on with it, and didn't ever really publically address it with words, he just became a better player. Barton gets booed and he is on twitter quoting Rudyard Kipling - no doubt by this point he is blaming the 'haters' for his poor performance rather than just getting on with it.
