Right i didnt want Sven to leave but saying that there is some things that did really irate me which Sven did. Sven always played his favourites despite them being awful and that may have contributed to his downfall. Vassell and King have been poor for a long time. We have no width in the team, even if Sven didnt want to start with wingers it would of always been an option to have, you need some decent creative players to get out this league. Last season QPR had Taarabt, Norwich had Hoolahan and Swansea had Sinclair. We dont have anyone like that who play in an advanced position. Wellens does a decent job but he is best playing outside the area pulling the strings. King is crap and Gally ends up out wide and doesnt come in side as much as the full back get forward and he needs to cover them.

The other things is we thing we are Barcelona and try and walk the ball in the net instead of shooting. Last season we scored quite alot of goals from outside the area with Gally, Naughton, Bruma, Van Aanholt and King but now we are scared to shoot again. Only Gally will shoot from outside the area. Nugent tried to skin the whole team and the midfielders just gives the ball to Konchesky who puts in a **** cross.

So there is a few area the new manager will need to improve on but apart from that would should be more then fine

Completely agree. When you lose 3-0 you dont deserve to manage a club like lc. But with that said the players are also to blame and we would be naive to merely blame the manager esp' now he has gone.
The good thing about this mess is we have the january transfer window to, ahem, buy maynard or the likes. The owners want promotion, they will get ALL the money back if we go up. They know this.

    Keep the faith.

    Yes, I totally agree too.

I also asked the question during transfer deadline day about swapping King for Yakubu. Nobody seemed to agree with me, but I would have took that offer all night long. If we go 1 down, then players like Gallagher and King let the game pass them by!

I never understand why we play players out of position, just to accommodate a certain players face!

Sven wanted 2 players for every position, so why was it necessary to play players out of position?

Just for the record, I thought it was a bit early to sack Sven, maybe at the end of December if things hadn't improved, but that said, the new manager will get my full backing and hopefully we can still reach our goal in May.

If i was the manager i would of packed the squad full of decent strikers. I would of went for Yakubu, Maynard, Nugent, Beckford and another on loan. Sven might of wanted another striker but when they cut the subs down to 5 they probaly didnt help him

Maybe Sven only wanted Maynard and that may of cost us in the end as towards the end of the window we looked desperate by bidding 6.5M for Nikica Jelavic. The owners said they sacked him because they didnt see a good enough return for their investment.

The new man need to get rid of Darius Vassell completely and drop Andy King from the squad for a few weeks. King isnt a bad player he just is in an awful run of form which Sven has allowed to happen for around 6 months. Dropping him for a while may do the trick. I can understand why he didnt drop him last season as there was no one else to cover him but i thought that is why we brought in Neil Danns

Another thing looking back which i dont understand is why we spent so little back in January. We only brought Sol Bamba and get in a few loans. We should of tried to buy Naughton back then and spent a few more bob and maybe we wouldnt of fell short

It's football , every team lose games they should win.. Especially in this league and there's no such thing as promotion being a nailed on certainty . Hopefully andy kings crown jewels has matured enough to realise that by now . But I doubt it.

Toughest league in the world to get out of. There are a dozen teams who fancy their chances. But as this is a Leicester forum, and we can be hopeful, expectant and totally ****ing biased - if we get the right manager we will romp the league and make all other teams choke on our exhaust fumes.

The difference between Manchester United and City compared to Norwich, Swansea, QPR, Wigan etc. is massive

But the difference between the top and bottom teams in the championship isnt as big. Apart from Reading and Newcastle no one has ever been really consistent in this league

Another thing about Sven going the new manager might want to give Martyn Waghorn another chance and if we can get Waghorn to perform like he did for us when he was on loan then he would be more then good enough to play a part for us

You often see when a manger leaves that the team will often go on a bit of a run because the whole squad is given a kick up the arse and know they have a chance to stake a claim for their place again.

I think Sven was unlucky to lose his job personally but I can understand why the owners would make the decision. Important the squad show a united front and now we can really see how much team spirit there is in the camp. I've said before that I think this squad, with the right management, should be pushing for promotion so it's not like the manager will be inheriting a load of second-rate crap which sometimes happens when a manager gets sacked; this is a strong squad that doesn't really need many amendments. Obviously the new man will like some players more/less than Sven did but that is normal and he might want to change a few things but, on the whole, this a very strong Championship squad that, on paper, should be right up there in the league so the players will still get some continuity which is important.

BTW, does anyone think that if Rudkin does well as caretaker, he might get the job full-time?

No, he's only in charge for one game and the Thais wouldn't consider it.

We're being made to sweat at the moment it has to be said, the majority of the names mentioned would disappoint me, some would infuriate me.

    Agreed.

He's done well in the Premier League recently and has been involved in English football long enough to know what the Championship is all about so I wouldn't worry about the Championship experience part of the criteria.

All this championship experience criteria is rubbish. If Jose Mourinho wanted the job we wouldn't say sorry you have no experience in this league

Wouldn't mind having him though! Really could use someone who can genuinely play on the right wing plus as a striker.
