Just got back from U18's. Charlton 4 Naarwich 1 (Ade, Ade/Toby, own goal, Toby/Ade........not sure who for Naaarwich) We pretty much controlled the whole of the first half but with some slightly sloppy finishing and a good performance by the Naaarwich keeper (on trial from Spammers) it could have been 4 or 5 Nil. An attempted through ball by Narrich was cut out in centre of defence, long ball out to Toby on left wing, instand control and ball between the Naaarich CBs sent Ade free to slot across an advancing keeper into right corner of goal 1-0. Second half started and we fell asleep from a freekick and let in a sloppy goal 1-1, however, after about 10 mins of second half we took control again. Ball through the middle again, Naaarich keeper and CB leave it to each other to deal with but Ade (I think?? could have been Toby?? I was too busy shouting out "you beauty" to Ade/Toby) got a foot in and collected the rebound from the keeper to slot into an open net 2-1. Third, Ade/Tobytook on the left back and got to the bye-line about 10 yards to left of goal and whipped in a low hard cross, Naaarich defender tried to clear but slotted the ball nicely into bottom corner of net 3-1. Final goal was a result of a slightly soft penalty, through ball which the Naarich defender clipped the legs of Toby I think???? and he went down, Joe Piggott took the pen which was well saved by the Naarich keeper who pushed it out to the left, however, Ade/Toby got to the ball before the Naaarich defenders and hit a low cross along the Naarich 6 yard box, Toby/Ade had a simple tap in from the centre of the goal as the keeper was at his near stick. Well deserved result and we could have got 7/8 had the keeper not had a good game. Important game at Portsmouth (midday KO) next Tuesday and finish at Leicester next saturday. Win both and we could win the League problem is that Leicester haven't lost since we beat them in the FA Cup. AllHell
