great point today and I watched it all online, Mig showed why he is number 1 with a couple of great saves when called upon and I thought the back four were very solid. The central midfield 3 done there job and Sessegnon then Saha worked hard upfront. Campbell wasn't to good and McClean needs to get some different boots, did any of his crosses get off the floor. back to the SoL next week and confidence amongst everyone at the club and the fans will be high and we can certainly get three points. Sess will be fitter, was good to get 60minutes out of him with no pre season games and lack of training and same with Saha. Hopefully we can get 2 or 3 new faces in as well before the game because games against the top teams dont worry me its games were we should be winning and are the favourites, we need to address the creativity, pace and goals and I'm sure MoN will do that in the next week or two. Get these 4, 5 or 6 new faces in and I am very confident we will have a canny season. Tom Ince got 2 for Blackpool today, wouldn't mind him to compete with McClean Ha'Way the lads!!!
I think we need quality rather than quantity, so a couple of new faces will do for me...Great result today though..
Hopefully a big crowd and cracking atmosphere. If we can get 4 points from our first two games that will be a fantastic start to the season.
think we need a quantity of quality our squad aint big enough to last a full season, had very little on the bench today and if went behind being totally honest couldn't of seen us creating chance after change against a pretty average arsenal defence
I will be amazed if we get Defoe after scoring for England and again tonight. Would love it if we did though.
Good result to kick off our season down in London. I thought Cattermole was exceptional. I thought Richardson was very good and I doubt that whoever we bring in, if we do, will be better than Ricco. I also thought Meyler was good even though he was only on the pitch for 17 mins. All round solid defending performance. Looking forward to a few more new faces!
I think without any new faces we have a good SOLID squad. I'm not saying that we have 20 world beaters but we won't go anywhere near the relegation trap-door. BUT 2/3 (not 5 or ) quality players higher up the field will give us a top 8 finish no probs- KTF
