Just watched the QPR goal of the month video sent by the club.
Don't think there is much doubt about the winner - Junior's goal.

However, what caught my eye was the Brentford fans who applauded the skill, even though it was to the detriment of their team.

The question is this. When you are at Loftus Road, and the opposing team score a cracker worthy of applause, do you applaud or do you not for fear of displeasure from those around you?

I think I probably say it was a cracker to who ever is sitting next to me but rarely, if ever, applaud.

Either way, good sportsmanship from the Brentford fans so well done to them.
 
I have done in the past -especially if it is pure skill. I am sure when we played Bristol City a few years ago, one of their players Nicky Maynard scored a goal worthy of the entrance fee.
However on he flip side, I was in Leeds the day we came from 2 down to win 3-2 and Roy Wegerle scored the amazing goal dribbling round anyone that stood in his way. In the third pub that night, (more of a friendly locals rather than the previous 2 where a London accent would have got you in trouble) a couple of Leeds fans said that goal was one of the best they have ever seen at Elland Road.

I think Maynard's goal was goal of the season for the whole championship that season.

I've just played "spot the clapper", watching the video of Junior's goal. I think I saw 4 Brentford fans out of about 2000 who clapped for a full second or two in a knee-jerk type reaction before they realised they were clapping the opposition and promptly stopped. I conclude, therefore, that Brentford fans wouldn't know a good shot if it hit them in the face.

Me? I'm a football fan and I clap good football, albeit a tad grudgingly and with the slightest hint of self-consciousness when it comes from the opposition. Fortunately, this is very rare.
 
I remember David Platt scoring a cracker for Villa against us, initial silence, then spontaneous applause, to which he then bowed to all sides of the ground. Barnsley fans done similar after Trevors goal., Hard not to show appreciation for a piece of class really
 
That Maynard goal was unbelievable. Didn't clap at the time because I was in disbelief that it had gone in, but looking back I probably should have.
