I've lost so much weight from being ill a nice pair of shorts I've not worn for years now fit nicely

Lost about 10kg since last October without doing anything in particular to do so.

Well it's kind of a result lol

I dropped 3 stone last year and my selection of clothing doubled! Fortunately I was trying to lose it!

Yeah, It's amazing what exercise and fasting a bit on weekends will do. I was 16stone, 6pounds at my consistent heaviest, currently 13,5.

It'd be interesting to see how much I'd lose if I could exercise more too.

Well done. I had a time seven years ago where due to general laziness, I adopted a poor diet and drank way too much within a year I put on a bit of a pouch, even though I walked to work etc ate healthier it still wouldn't shift, it took months of cardio, high protein diets to shift it in the end, but what I found works best was doing weights resistance training torches fat if you go about it correctly.

Spot on. I'd a 1-2-1 with a fitness advisor at my gym and that's exactly what he said. Cardio (running/cycling) is all well and good if you want to build stamina, but using weights give a longer 'burn' and in the long term uses up more calories.

Metabolically muscle burns more calories. Resistance training is effective it's surrounded by a lot of myths the internet doesn't help too. Form's the most important part though, I wish I knew a lot of things I knew now when I was starting out.
