Ivory Coast coach Francois Zahoui has rejected Manchester City's request to play Yaya and Kolo Toure in Sunday's Manchester derby in the FA Cup.

"Clubs know the rules," Zahoui told BBC Africa. "I'm expecting them [the Toures] for the Fifa deadline."

Under Fifa rules, players can be called up two weeks before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations on 21 January.

Thank God!!!!! At least some good news. Even our crap CM might cope now.

    Good news for us.

So who do you think will take Yaya's place in CM position. I think it will be Milner.

Possibly. Not too worried about him, way overrated. Is Hargreaves fit?

Don't rate Barry or Milner, never have. Giggs not a match anymore against younger CM despite his moments of skill etc.

Yet on his day he can still dominate midfields. Those days are getting further apart however...

I think Yaya is going to be a big loss for city. He really does add so much to the team in the centre.

Newcastle are buggered imo. Tiote and Ba being their two most important players.

Yaya is a good player and not just a huge physical presence but drives the game forward, scores some goals and not a bad passer of the ball. Just what we need.

Barry's suspended so it'll be Milner and De Jong if they go for two in CM. Otherwise possible a 433 with Nasri, Milner and De Jong?

Either way, playing Spurs, Everton and Villa without the Toures is going to be a big test of City's championship pedigree.

The guy is makeweight in the CM position at best and always has been. He's a winger you know that right?

Yaya going is a big bost for United, but Colo going is a help to United. Yaya or no, city are not playing well and didn't against Liverpool really, well enough mind you to get the points.

I think UNited want this more but I doubt the defence can keep out the city attack, they did look slightly less energetic than usual againt Liverpool but they are very dangerous to teams that come out and play, United won't pull a sunderland and sit everyone behnd the ball so I see City scoring, queue 'Rooney overhead' No 2. :)

I would imagine next game will be Milner and De Jong since Barry is suspended. After that i guess Barry and Milner with Milner having the license to go forward that Yaya usually has, which isn't a great trade off but someone has to play.

Balotelli will also miss the match due to ankle injury.

Known Utd we'll win the city game and win well, but draw or lose the next 2 league games.

    Hate this.

We shouldn't have to count on the opponent's injuries in order to win.

Anyways, most likely Mancini will go for a tight compact setup but I feel that Evra and Nani will have to up their form a bit more.
