i'd read that somewhere as well, might have been the pink un message board (only as a reader not contributor!)
that will help us for sure, he's an animal, although the fact the toffees lost to reading won't help us.

Have Everton won a game without him yet this season?

If we can win on Saturday - which surely wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility given our form and the players Everton will be missing - we might just find ourselves in the top half come Sunday <cheers>

Now let's try to stay there!

still going to be a very difficult match, especially away from home. they'll still have miralles who i really like and baines is having a fantastic season, not to mention jelavic and osman and pienaar...... a point would be brilliant!

I think its important we dont lose away to soton more than anything, but obviously everton first and with Fellaini and Neville out it certainly helps our cause when going for a positive result there but as supers says there's obviously Jelavic, Baines, Pienaar and Osman to worry about but we got a very good point there last season and how were playing now we could get the same result again <ok>

Yes, there are still plenty of good players - let's hope Jelavic leaves his ;shooting boots' at home!!!! I'll take 2 points from our next 2 matches - any more is a bonus. <ok>

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Phil Neville looks like Albert Steptoe?

Some interesting stats: Leaving aside West Ham and Reading the fixtures we have played yielded 7 points last season compared to 12 this. To date we have taken 8points from teams in the top half of the table,6 from teams in the bottom half. The top half teams have taken 209 points the bottom half 109.
