If the evil post is to be believed then it looks likely O'Toole will remain with us until the end of the season! Colchester United boss Joe Dunne has said that on-loan Bristol Rovers midfielder John-Joe O'Toole is unlikley to be offered regular games if he returns to his parent club at the end of the month. Rovers boss John Ward is keen to keep O'Toole for an extended stay following some impressive displays since arriving on a temporary deal three weeks ago, but the midfielder confirmed on Monday that he was keeping an open mind over his immediate future. Dunne told local reporters: "John-Joe is not going to get that regular football with me at the moment. We try and play a certain way, and John-Joe has been working hard to play in that style of play when we train. He's got another year with us, he's doing fine, and he's fine where he is at Bristol Rovers." Great news if true!
I think everyone wants JJ to stay because he has looked good and played for the Club. It does appear that the decisiopn of stay at home or come to us depends on him and him alone! My worry is how he perceives what may happen over thje next 20 games if he stays at the Gas. No young player wants a relegation pinned on his CV; even worse if that relegation were to be out of League football and into the Conference. So perhaps his decision may reflect on how he feels things may pan out for us.
