With the news that this left sided midfielder/winger Marveaux (another player I have never heard about), has signed for the unwashed, is it an admission that joint target Charlie N'Zog will definately not be doonside bound this summer? Neither player will be heading for a club they will be sitting in the bench at. Will they. However, seeing as this lad Marveaux was also a Liverpool target (who some media are reporting failed a medical at Anfield on Friday), does this mean they will step up their pursuit of the Zog more now? I still think we are very well placed, with Steve Bruce maybe being the crucial factor but as we have seen with Jordan, money talks for these lads in the end and maybe he will view Liverpool as a club on the up where we are still percived as a club treading water? I'm still caught in 2 minds with this potential signing now.
If Downing doesnt come off for them then I would say hes Liverpool bound but hopefully Downing will leave Villa and then that would hopefully leave the door open for us. However I am extremely jelous of the Toon's signings so far, fair play to Pardew hes doing some good work so far.
The rumours, and yes I know they are still rumours, are getting stronger that he will be ours for a cash plus player deal, eaither Steed or Richardson. That would make a lot of sense to me because Wigan would have a good replacement plus cash to spend.
i not convinced any of the signings he has made will have the impact they hope for (I hadn't heard of 2 of them till they signed) but you cant deny they have made their target permanent signings with great haste and that's good management practice. These new players need to bed in and have a full close season to get ready for the new season and the mags have given that every possible chance to work out. I have a terrible feeling we will be starting the season half cocked again and have a load of players who are strangers to each other by the time we play Liverpool. Our following game is not one we can afford (or Bruce can afford anyway) to go into under-prepared for again.
All the skunks have done is signed a few unproven french players on bosmans and probably paying them **** loads in wages cos they got em for free! Stinks of desperation from Ashley and Pardew if ya ask me! We havent been linked with world beaters but the players we have been linked with all share one thing in common, they all have bags of premiership experience!
I will also agree, Id love to see some of their signings here, Im not going to go all sour grapes and anti-Toon for the sake of it. However I will say I dont think Pardew has much to do with these signings, IIRC he was appointed because Ashley knew he would be grateful enough for the job to not pose any challenge to Ashley and Llambias' running of transfer affairs.
I have a strong feeling The Zog may end up at your place still... Fat Ash is too tight to pay the 10m needed..
Marveaux didn't fail his medical, he didn't agree a contract with Liverpool: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/...move-collapsed http://kopthat.co.uk/2011/06/marveux...elwood-medical http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/trans...move-collapsed http://pleezet.netii.net/2011/06/18/...ailed-medical/ http://oneclick.indiatimes.com/artic...Premier League http://news.gkrom.com/articles/renne...failed-medical http://www.liverpoolfcnews.net/renne...ailed-medical/ http://soccerblogs.net/blog/post/544...elwood_medical http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/show....php?p=2003976 http://sportsfreaknow.com/2011/06/re...ical-goal-com/ http://topics.dallasnews.com/article...U27Ec?q=Europe http://www.onenewspage.in/news/Sport...ed-Because.htm http://arabia.msn.com/News/sports/go...aspx?ref=hptab http://www.24sportsnews.com/soccer/r...dical-goal-com http://www.scorecover.com/index.php/...ailed-medical/ http://www.premierleaguenews.soccerr...ux-denies.html In addition, N'Zogbia played on the right allot last season, with Barton and Jonas possible departures..... Why wouldn't Newcastle still be in it for him? Especially since Pardew is an admirer, he spends allot of him free time in Newcastle and they are going through a little pit of a French revolution. Not having a go, I just do not see why your so confident. N'Zogbia still must rate Newcastle highly as he recommended Cabaye to the club: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...d-me-to-join-newcastle-cabaye-72703-28860570/
Who said I was confident he would sign for us? I am still specualting about him to 3 clubs? Top tip: Try reading before commenting? PS - also, dont use so many quotes form so many ****ty 'pie in the sky story' websites. They just write fairy tales to get sad little blokes like to to trawl through them and cut and paste their fairy tales into forums such as this and then talk about them as if they were real. It has added no credence to your arguments at all and as for the NE toilet paper rag and official black & white mouthpiece, they just tell your lot any old ****e they can to sell newspapers and the faithful over there lap it up with relish. I wouldn't believe that rag if it told me today was Saturday 18th June 2011 and the time was 3.45pm.

Yeah I think so, he always maintained his love of the club, city and fans, but refused to play under Joe Kinnear. His attitude stinks in general though, he walked out under Glenn Roeder as well when he was substituted at half time. I'd have him back for his technical ability, but that's it. If he was to go to Sunderland or Liverpool, I wouldn't mind too much.
